When a neighbour's husband dies, word spreads that a revered priest wants every woman to borrow money from another woman and make an offering to stay safe. Gayatri shrugs it off until her young son falls ill and keeps getting worse. Desperate, she borrows from her employer and follows the ritual, then turns to the priest himself, whose risky instruction pulls both her and her employer into an unexpected mess.

Why we picked it

Latika Kaushik writes and directs this sharp Hindi drama about rumour, ritual and a mother's fear for her sick child. Eighteen minutes that look hard at how panic spreads through a neighbourhood.
