Inspired by Maharashtrian folklore, the film follows a group of friends whose ordinary night journey along a road through dense forest turns into a nightmare. They fall under the influence of the chakva, a force said to make travellers lose their way, and find themselves trapped, unable to find the path out.

Why we picked it

Rahul Wadkar's Marathi horror draws on Maharashtrian folklore about the chakva, a force that makes night travellers lose their way. Thirty-five minutes in a dark forest you won't want to be lost in.

Horror or frightening material. Scary intensity was not assessed through end-to-end viewing.
