Delivery driver Owen struggles with compulsions at work while his girlfriend plans an exposure-therapy dinner date, in a dark comedy that gives resisting a ritual unexpectedly apocalyptic stakes.

Why we picked it

For Owen, resisting a compulsion feels as if the world could end. This dark comedy takes that fear literally, mixing an everyday struggle with wildly escalating stakes.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety, psychological distress, exposure-therapy themes and apocalyptic horror. Fiction, not treatment advice.
