One spring morning, one high-school student suggests to another that they skip being on time and be late together. The pair spend the morning idling beneath cherry trees in full bloom, sharing an unhurried stretch of time that feels both carefree and fleeting, in this student-made animated short.

Why we picked it

A student animation from Kyoto Seika University: two high-schoolers decide to be late together and spend a spring morning under the cherry blossoms. Nine dreamy minutes, set to an original song.
