The Apollo 8 astronauts recall photographing Earth from space in 1968 and the change in perspective that came with seeing the planet as a shared home.
Why we picked it
See our shared home through the memories of the people who first photographed it from lunar orbit. Earthrise offers an astronaut-led documentary reflection on a picture that changed the view.
Space exploration and reflection on the planet's fragility; detailed emotional intensity remains unassessed.
