Drawing on the Kerala folk belief of Varathu Pokku, this horror short follows a cocky auto-rickshaw driver who decides to drive down a road that locals avoid after dark, a path said to belong to the goddess herself. Legend holds that anyone who sees her must never speak of it, and the film asks what follows when that rule is broken.

Why we picked it

Rooted in the Kerala folk belief of Varathu Pokku, this Malayalam horror sends a cocky auto driver down a road said to belong to the goddess. Ten minutes; those who see her aren't meant to tell.
