A filmmaker born in Taiwan, raised in the United States and now living in Taipei visits Kinmen, a cluster of Taiwan-governed islands only a few miles from mainland China that were once the front line of the Taiwan Strait crises. Through the islanders and his own reflections, the documentary shows what it feels like to live caught between two superpowers as tensions rise again.
