In the winter of 1947, amid the upheaval and religious intolerance of Partition, Husyn Naqqash, a blind Muslim miniature painter once celebrated at the Nawab's court in Junagadh, must part with his ancestral home. When Kishorilal, a shrewd Hindu businessman, arrives to take possession of the house, a secret the family has kept hidden behind Husyn's failing sight comes to light, revealing both the heartbreak of the era and the quiet resilience of those living through it.
