Alka, a middle-class wife who longs for a taste of the elite world, forms an accidental friendship with her sophisticated neighbour Nayantara, whose life looks perfect from the outside. The two women share daydreams and a rare camaraderie that briefly fills their otherwise empty days, but when Alka gets a chance to experience luxury, in an echo of a classic tale about a borrowed necklace, the story takes a dark turn that exposes envy, aspiration and the quiet complexities of their bond.
