During the COVID-19 lockdown, Kabir and his wife Sumita feel suffocated at home: he worries about everything happening around them, while she tries to find a silver lining in the change. Longing to breathe freely again, the couple set out on a road trip from Kolkata's busy streets to the quiet countryside, and the film moves through time to reflect the pandemic's wider toll, from virtual classrooms and overwhelmed hospitals to strained mental health and the plight of migrant workers.

Why we picked it

Suman Mukhopadhyay and Gargee Roy Chowdhury play a couple suffocating at home during the COVID lockdown, one anxious and one hopeful. A thirty-six-minute Bengali drama about finding air to breathe.
