Art student Ian wins over his realism-loving teacher by following her advice to draw exactly what he sees. The trouble is that his eyesight is poor, and as he strains to obey, his pictures grow steadily blurrier, to her dismay. Online, meanwhile, critics celebrate him as a bold abstract artist and read deep meanings into work that is simply faithful to his vision, turning him into an internet sensation.
