In a tongue-in-cheek alternate history, Susan's family runs a traditional Chinese restaurant that starts losing customers when a rival offering a novelty self-serve soup opens next door. Susan is spectacularly lazy, the opposite of her tireless, overachieving sister Annie, whom their mother clearly prefers, yet Susan's talent for avoiding effort is what sparks the spinning table that changes restaurant dining for good.
