Lagnesh's life is a string of odd events. Superstitious practices keep getting in his way, sometimes through his mother's constant nagging and sometimes through his own stubborn beliefs, and luck never seems to go his way. A roundabout chain of events finally leads him to see how much harm superstition has done.

Why we picked it

Deepak R's experimental Kannada comedy-drama about Lagnesh, whose life is tangled up in superstition and a pair of slippers. Its makers bill it as a 2021 Dadasaheb Phalke award winner.
