In a small, warm cafe, a man in his fifties notices a woman he once loved, and old feelings rush back as he watches her. At the far end of the room a young couple are struggling with the fact that they are about to part. As the film moves between the two pairs, it becomes clear that the older couple were once those young lovers, meeting again after thirty years apart, and the story asks whether love can survive that much time.

Why we picked it
