A young woman who has never had anyone she could hold close and call her own longs, more than anything, to be able to say 'mine' about someone. A stranger drifts into her life by chance, and his care and affection bring light back after years of darkness, so she begins to hope and dream again. But as the relationship deepens she realises the same word means something different to each of them: for her it is the safety of being loved, for him it is something closer to ownership.
