One day Rintaro accidentally breaks a leaf fossil his father treasures. Unable to bring himself to confess, he carries the guilt with him down to the riverbank where he usually digs for fossils, and there he meets Toshi, a boy he has never seen before. Set among rock layers built up like memories, it is a small summer fantasy about the two boys.
