Set along the India-Pakistan border in 1999, in the tense days before the Kargil war broke out, the film captures the anxious mood of people living in the conflict zone. The son of a former Pakistani soldier comes to see that war never brings peace, and that understanding between ordinary people on both sides is what truly matters.
